My name is Daryl Lonsdale and I formed D & L Polishing in 2009, expanding in 2015 to include my son, Ben. We are based in Buckinghamshire, however we travel countrywide to provide our services, including London.

I have over 30 years experience in the furniture trade, beginning an apprenticeship in polishing at 15 years old. I gained 'Craft Certificate in Furniture' and 'Advance Craft Certificate in Furniture' qualifications from City and Guilds of London Institute. I quickly progressed and became a polishing shop foreman at 21, primarily polishing modern and reproduction furniture for Harrods.

In 1992 I move to somerset to set up a furnishing shop at Chalon UK Ltd. Whilst here, I created several finishes which are still being used on their furniture today.​

In 2000 I moved back to Mark Wilkinson Furniture as an on-site furniture polisher. Then in 2009 I decided to establish my own company and continue to work for Lux Group Holdings, which acquired Mark Wilkinson Ltd & Smallbone of Devizes, as well as having my own clients.
